You don’t have to leave Arizona to experience Fall weather and autumn colors. Right in Clarkdale, you can sit back and enjoy the changing leaves on a Verde Canyon Railroad ride! But if you are more like us, and want to go outside and play in the fall weather, combine it with one of our ATV tours and you’ll get the joy of both experiences.
Rails to Trails Tour – Train & ATV
Journey through some of Arizona’s hidden treasures. Hit the trails with Arizona Offroad Tours in the morning for a 2.5 hour long ride of stunning scenery through our national forest lands. Ride your own quad, or buckle up on a 2 person or family ATV. Arizona Offroad Tours supplies the ATV, helmet, goggles, bandana, water & a light snack. Then, enjoy a train ride on Verde Canyon Railroad. The train passes towering crimson pinnacles; near ancient Indian ruins; over fortified trestles; past a monocline fault and through a manmade 680-foot tunnel on a four-hour rail journey from the old mining town of Clarkdale to the Perkinsville ghost ranch and back.
For the fourth year in a row, and for every year we have been open, we have received TripAdvisor’s Certificate of Excellence. Thanks to all who have ridden with us and then taken the time to submit a review. We really, really appreciate your support and kind words.
“”I had so much fun driving the utv side by side with Mary as my guide along a Camp Verde trail that offered beautiful panoramic views including the San Francisco Mtns. to the north. Gorgeous weather at this time of year; with temperatures in the 70’s. This activity is perfect for all who love being outdoors & exploring high desert trails in offroad vehicles. This is truly the ideal setting for a terrific & memorable time well worth repeating. Thanks again, Mary!”
